(*) The song entitled "Hymn to the Red October",
by American composer Basil Poledouris, with lyrics in Russian, was on
our program in 2019 before covid. It still has its place today in the
new international context, since it is an extract from the film "The Hunt for Red October"
which tells the story of the defection to the United States of a Soviet
submarine captain, who refuses to carry out its devastating, nuclear
mission against the United States during the late Cold War era.
